Summer's End Concert – August 17th, 2008
The brainchild of Jeff’s middle child, Meaghan, the first annual SummersEnd Concert was met with such success that the bands and the concert goers pleaded with Meghan to do it again.  The concert is held at the Nisby Bandstand behind Abington High School off Rte. 18.  It features mostly local “garage” bands and other bands that have signed record deals with small record labels. The first annual event attracted 500 and raised $5000 for the Jeff Coombs Foundation.  This year’s event proves to be a hit as well with 10 bands performing beginning at noon.  The featured bands are “A Slow Descen,t” “Lockjaw,” “Jetlag Gemini,” “Southcott,” “Madison,” “Adams Shore,” “Feels Like July,” “On Second Thought,” “a midway class” and “A Loss for Words.”   Admission is $10/person

Pizza, hotdogs, snacks and drinks will be sold as well as concert t-shirts.  Bring a canned food item for the Abington Food Pantry and receive a free raffle ticket for a chance to win cool prizes.  Additional tickets will be available for sale.
